Meet The Photographers
Hi! We are Emilia & Neil, we are photographers based in the West Midlands & Warwickshire. We are not just business partners, what makes our business unique is that we are a Father & Daughter working together!
We have the very latest equipment – Canon EOS R6 MkII and lenses - as well as a portable studio kit with lighting and backgrounds.
We are open to any photographic commissions; our assignments to date have ranged from individual portraits to a charity dance show to providing images for Coventry Cathedral's 2025 Calendar.
To find out a bit more about us and why you should consider us as your photographers, keep reading...

"Emilia did some pet photography with my 2 fur babies, she was so good with them and created lovely photos of my cats!
I've also had individual shots and a bowling photoshoot on my birthday, I thought this would look epic as a photo piece which she produced very well with everyone! She was very patient with me as I'm not always most natural in front of the camera but she got the best out of me! She will be someone I will happily have as my photographer in the future!" - Mary

Photo taken on a walk to "Surprise View", Keswick during a trip away in The Lake District, Cumbria- it is a beautiful spot to visit as it overlooks the whole of Derwentwater.
Emilia
I am a self-taught photographer born and based in Coventry, West Midlands.
I have always had a creative background; beginning with my studies in Art & Design at Warwickshire College and at Foundation Level at Coventry University - both teaching me the Basic Skills in Photography. I continued my studies at Coventry University in Interior Architecture & Design (BA Hons); I grew to appreciate the different architectural styles/details and their history by capturing this within my photography. After I graduated, I undertook a Master of Arts (MA) in Design Management which developed my knowledge in a creative business practice.
My photography had always been a deeply passionate hobby, which I inherited from my Dad (& business partner) Neil: capturing memories with family, friends, pets and on my travels in the UK and abroad. In 2021, I began sharing my work professionally through social media, but especially through my job working at Coventry Cathedral, developing experience in Product and Branding Photography.
I have a close working relationship with the Cathedral, my work has been promoted on their social media and printed in their physical marketing materials: postcards, the Coventry Cathedral Guidebook 2021 & 2022 editions and their forthcoming 2025 Calendar which will be on sale in their visitor centre in the autumn of 2024.
I met my husband, Ross, during our college studies, We got married in October 2021 in one of our favourite UK locations: The Lake District, Cumbria. It is a special place, not only for walking and seeing it's beautiful landscapes, but for the many memories created there - it was the main family holiday destination growing up.
When we were looking at wedding venues, nowhere else called out to us but here, mainly because: it was dog-friendly! We were able to have ALL FOUR Schnauzers within our immediate joint families in the wedding party - two of them dragging my Mum, Jo, down the aisle and later barking when the Registrar asked for any objections during the Ceremony - these were not included! Sadly the venue didn't accommodate cats, otherwise the day would have been even more interesting with my parent's two Persians added to the mix!
I don't think Ross realised when we got together, that he would end up being with someone who was just as nerdy as him, or who was into the same franchises: Star Wars, Lord of The Rings as well as Harry Potter and Disney!
It seemed very appropriate that when we started our family last year with our two Persian cats, we named them after characters in a couple of our favourite franchises - Luna (Lovegood from Harry Potter) & Bilbo (Baggins from Lord of the Rings).

Neil
I am a Brummie, born and bred, I moved to Binley Woods near Coventry in 1988.
I've been a keen photographer for over 40 years, my first camera being a Pentax ME Super 35mm SLR bought for my 21st Birthday.
I have had a particular interest in natural landscapes, portraits (people and pets) and motorsport photography. I was inspired to take up photography by my Uncle John who once lent me his Rolleicord medium format camera and manual light meter to have a go with (real old school). I have been the wedding photographer for family and friends on a number of occasions with great success (very stressful in the days of film, waiting a week for the results to be developed, at least with digital you can see the results immediately). I trained for City and Guilds photography qualifications at night school.
I recently retired from Jaguar Land Rover as a Powertrain Engineer, Manager then Senior Manager in Product Strategy after 45 years, realising my long ambition to become a professional photographer. I'm now principally assisting, mentoring and sharing assignments with my business partner - my daughter Emilia Jayne.

Denied my mid-life crisis, only a weekend loan of my favourite car (Jaguar F-Type R 5.0L Supercharged V8 convertible) in my favourite colour. My job at the time was to create the strategies to reduce JLR's CO2 fleet emissions - I had that weekend off!
I am a self confessed space geek, interested in everything from astronomy, space missions and science fiction from an early age, I was born just three weeks after the first man was launched into space, so it was a constant during my childhood in the 1960's. I was very fortunate in 2017 to meet astronaut and Apollo 16 Lunar Module Pilot and Apollo 11 landing CapCom, Brigadier General (USAF Ret) Charlie Duke, the youngest man to walk on the moon - one of the greatest days of my life!
As well as the real stuff, I am a massive fan of all things from Gerry Anderson (Thunderbirds, UFO, Space: 1999 etc.), Star Trek and science fiction in general. Emilia, her hubby Ross and I also share a love of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, a right bunch of geeks, ideally suited to each other!

My lovely wife Jo and I with our furbabies: (left to right) our cats, Coco-Pops & Milo then our Miniature Schnauzers, Alfie & Potty Dotti (we were NEVER going to get all four posing for the camera!) though they and Emilia's cats do appear in the Portrait Portfolio.
I am also a great fan of 80's music, in particular Level 42 and Go West who I have seen live many times over the years, my first Go West gig was my first date with Emilia's Mum, Jo in 1987 at Birmingham's New Street Odeon, it took me six months to ask her out after we met at work over a photocopier at the Jaguar Browns Lane plant, Then I proposed after just three weeks! We've recently celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary.
After Jo and Emilia, my other great loves are my pets over the years, I currently have two Miniature Schnauzer dogs Dotti and Alfie and two Persian cats Coco Pops and Milo, a friend of mine recently suggested our house must be like a Tom and Jerry cartoon with so many pets, but they all get on fantastically well.
